While our journey began with jewelry, we recently expanded our product range to include something new and exciting: eco-friendly, mulberry silk scrunchies. Developed in collaboration with our artisan Dayan, each scrunchie is made from surplus Grade 6A natural mulberry silk.
Turning Factory Waste into Fashion
So, what exactly is surplus silk? When factories produce clothing or home textiles like sheets and pillowcases, they often end up with excess fabric—strips and remnants that are too small for larger products. This leftover fabric, known as offcuts, is typically discarded. However, for our scrunchies, these offcuts are more than sufficient. By using this high-quality silk, we prevent valuable material from going to waste, giving it new life in a beautiful and functional product.

Despite being made from surplus materials, we only select the finest quality mulberry silk. Unlike cheaper synthetic fibers, mulberry silk is a natural protein that offers several benefits for hair care:
