We understand that our handmade jewelry is priced higher than some of our alternatives, as it not only requires hours of handcrafting and assembly but also involves the time-consuming process of cleaning, disinfecting, shaping, and coloring components made from recycled plastic bottles. While many of our customers support the concept of upcycled jewelry and appreciate our craftsmanship and design, economic downturns may lead them to reconsider purchases.
To adapt, we've focused on expanding our range of color options rather than launching entirely new jewelry collections in the following year, which helps reduce product development costs. Additionally, we’ve introduced a new product line: Sustainable Silk Scrunchies, handmade from silk fabric scraps in our Helsinki studio. By utilizing leftover silk fabric, we reduce waste and embrace a more sustainable approach. The silk, combined with our special sewing techniques, also helps minimize hair breakage.
