If you are our regular followers of Upcycle with Jing, you know that our brand has a cherished tradition: releasing at least one floral-inspired jewelry collection every year.
This commitment dates back to our founding days, and as a founder who recently returned to the brand full-time after embracing motherhood, I’m excited to introduce our 2025 Spring Collection, featuring two delicate earrings inspired by Nordic wildflowers: the charming，vibrant pansy flower and the elegant vuokko flower.

The Art of Turning Plastic into Petals
Creating jewelry from recycled plastic bottles is a journey of passion and patience. The initial sketches filled with the energy of spring, always spark excitement, but transforming them into wearable art is another challenge. Each piece is handcrafted, requiring careful cutting, shaping, and coloring of recycled plastic. Countless trials, adjustments, and color tests go into perfecting the design.
This year’s earrings capture the delicate translucency of petals, a tribute to Finland’s fleeting yet vibrant blooms. While we’re proud of this most refined version yet, our artisans continue to experiment, because sustainability and beauty deserve endless innovation.
A Fresh Visual Story: New Beginning & Bold Experiments
This launch also marks an exciting creative shift.After years of trusted collaboration, our longtime photography partner returned to her home country, we faced the challenge of finding a new visual partner who could understand our brand’s essence.
Luckily, we connected with a talented Aalto University alumnus, @hongfeibi, who shared our enthusiasm for experimentation. He embraced our vision with an open mind, and our collaboration quickly blossomed. Through weeks of experimentation and mutual trust, we refined a new aesthetic, bold lighting, clean white backdrops, and a focus on crisp details. Also, we are happy to have @Oonamilla being our model again to present our new collection!
The result? A striking departure from our past soft, muted tones, yet one that perfectly captures the lightweight elegance of our upcycled floral designs. Every curve of the pansy and vuokko earrings shines under this renewed perspective.
This journey reminded us: while goodbyes are bittersweet, they often make space for unexpected creativity.
